"Make A Difference Day" at the PRAB Nursery

  • On that day we will be refurbishing the two classrooms to improve the learning experience for the children who go there.

REGISTERING FOR THE 2007 "WALK FOR LITERACY"

Download a registration form if you don’t have one. Download pledge brochure to collect donations. Set a goal for yourself and get your friends, family, and co-workers involved. Email us to let us know you're participating!

 

Individuals/Teams. Fill out forms and collect your donations before the walkathon. Turn in your pledge sheet and extra sponsorship sheets and money during walkathon registration from 9:30–10:30 p.m. Check out www.glpinc.org/goya for helpful hints, printable pledge forms, and walkathon updates.

Prizes. Everyone who participates in the walkathon will be eligible to win door prizes. Plus, there will be prizes for:

  • Individual/Team Raising the Most Money
  • Individual with the Most Sponsors
  • Raffle between individuals who rise over $250. The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to an area restaurant.

Wear sensible shoes and dress for the weather.
The walkathon goes on, rain or shine.

  • 10:00 a.m.—Registration-Douglass Student Center
  • 11:15 a.m. —Kick-off speeches at" Passion Puddle" and then begin walk
  • 12:30 a.m.—Walk ends at Brower Commons, CAC
What is "Make A Difference Day"?
“Make A Difference Day” is the most encompassing national day of helping others—a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, “Make A Difference Day” is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.
